How Ovelo works

A practical guide to keeping the record behind everything you own.

01

Add what you own

Create an ownership record with its name, category, brand, model, serial number, condition, purchase details and value. Edit it whenever the details change.

02

Store supporting documents

Attach receipts, manuals, warranty paperwork and repair records during creation or from the Documents tab. Supported images are processed for safety; PDFs require malware scanning.

03

Track warranties

Record the provider, plan, policy number, coverage and dates. The item shows active, expiring or expired coverage using the details you entered.

04

Track repairs

Keep a dated repair history with provider, cost, notes and related documents. Updates and removals are recorded in item activity.

05

Track locations

Choose a saved place, search an address or paste a Google Maps link. The Locations page groups your own records. Places search depends on server configuration; manual addresses and Maps links remain available.

06

Use QR and barcodes

Generate an opaque QR or Code 128 label and download PNG or SVG. Scan locally with your camera, upload a code image or enter a code manually. A code never grants access to another person’s inventory.

07

Keep ownership history organized

Item activity records changes to your records, documents, warranties, repairs, location and identification. Archive a record when it is no longer current.
